Here's the first shot of a series I'll be posting from that delicately foggy morning at Bryce point.

Transitioning from a sunset to a sunrise at Bryce point (as far as my posts are concerned), here's a little time-lapse of how the sun rose on Dec 20, 2011.

At Bryce point, you've almost got 360° of awesome views. I was so excited to finally see some clouds after a mostly clear day, that I kept shooting in all directions. As is often the case, I got the best colors in the sky after the sun had set. Most of the few other people who came that day had gone by that time.
Here's what they missed.

This is the first of a series of pictures I'll be posting from Bryce canyon. I was lucky enough to see it covered with snow, and I must say it adds a lot to the natural beauty of the place.

Canyon Overlook, Zion National Park, Utah

You can get to this overlook after a short and very fun hike. The view from there is really amazing. It's hard to convey how vast the canyon is in a picture, but the winding road in the middle gives an idea. If you have a chance to see this by yourself, I would highly recommend it.
